A 5 × 2.5 m P2.0 buyer-meeting wall built for fabric-accurate colour.
Showroom feature wall for a Faisalabad textile export house. Specified at P2.0 with deep-grey scale and accurate skin tone for fabric and apparel reveals during international buyer meetings, and integrated with the showroom’s sample-tablet workflow.

A Faisalabad textile export house needed a buyer-meeting wall that could present fabric collections, technical capability videos, and CAD-rendered apparel previews with colour accuracy buyers would trust. SMDSOLUTIONS specified a P2.0 indoor wall with a calibrated colour profile against pantone references, and integrated it with the showroom’s in-house tablet-driven sample workflow.
What the client needed.
- International buyers were judging fabric colour off the wall — incorrect calibration meant disputed orders.
- Showroom downlighting was warm-tungsten; default LED-wall white balance read too cool against fabric samples.
- Sales team needed a single tablet to drive the wall during a meeting — no IT involvement, no remote.
- Wall sits behind a polished walnut sample bench; cabinet depth had to fit a tight 90 mm architectural recess.
What we delivered.
- P2.0 indoor SMD wall, 5 m × 2.5 m, ≈ 12.5 sqm with extended grey-scale processing for accurate dark-fabric rendering.
- Custom white-balance profile calibrated against the showroom’s tungsten downlights with reference pantone swatches in the room.
- 80 mm slim front-maintenance cabinets — fits the recess without intruding past the sample bench.
- Tablet-to-wall casting via a dedicated wireless presenter; sales staff present full-screen from anywhere in the showroom.
- Periodic recalibration scheduled every 6 months tied to the buyer-meeting season.

How the project actually ran.
Brief & colour reference

Engineering
Power, recess depth, and tablet-casting infrastructure planned with the in-house facilities lead.
Supply & staging
16 cabinets and the wireless presenter pre-tested at our facility.
Install & colour calibration
3-day install followed by a 2-day colour-LUT build against pantone references inside the room.
Hand-over & seasonal support
Sales team trained; recalibration window scheduled every 6 months tied to the buyer-meeting calendar.
What changed after go-live.
Outcomes are stated as the client described them — we don't fabricate metrics, and we don't publish numbers a client hasn't signed off.
Buyer-meeting close-rate during the first export season after install was reported by the sales team as the strongest in three years.
Zero colour-dispute returns recorded against fabric ranges presented through the wall.
Sales staff drive every meeting from a single tablet — IT involvement during meetings dropped to zero.
Recalibration window kept colour drift under 2.5% across the first two buyer seasons.
Buyers stopped asking us to send physical swatches before signing. The wall reads true.
Services used on this project.
Specific questions answered for this project.
- Yes, when it’s calibrated correctly. We build a custom colour LUT against pantone references inside the actual showroom under the actual lighting. The wall is then a reliable on-screen proxy — though buyers usually still confirm with a final physical sample before sign-off.
