Outdoor SMD screens are LED video walls assembled from cabinets engineered to operate outside year-round. Unlike indoor LED — which prioritises fine pitch and refresh rate — outdoor LED prioritises sunlight readability, weather sealing, and structural integrity.

A typical outdoor cabinet has IP65-rated front sealing (full dust-tight, jet-water resistant) and IP54 rear protection. Power supplies are de-rated for thermal headroom, fans and ventilation paths are designed to stay clear in dusty conditions, and cabinet housings are reinforced for wind load and structural mounting.

Heat is the dominant lifespan factor. Sustained 10,000-nit brightness in 45 °C ambient temperature shortens module life if ventilation is inadequate. We design heat dissipation into the structural mounting.

Wind load matters at façade height. Outdoor structures are engineered for site-specific wind speed; we coordinate with structural engineers on tall installs.

Power and grounding. Outdoor walls draw real power and need clean grounding to protect against lightning. Surge protection and SPD-rated isolation are part of our standard outdoor install.
