SMD Screen Repair & Maintenance — keep your LED running for ten years.
Dead-pixel repair, module replacement, controller faults, brightness recalibration, weather damage, and preventive maintenance for indoor and outdoor SMD screens across Pakistan. SMDSOLUTIONS supports screens we installed and screens supplied by other vendors.
SMDSOLUTIONS provides SMD screen repair and maintenance across Pakistan — covering dead-pixel repair, module replacement, controller and power-supply faults, brightness recalibration, weather and structural damage, and preventive-maintenance contracts. We service screens we installed and screens supplied by other vendors. Response options range from ad-hoc repair callouts through to 4-hour on-site SLA contracts. Stocked spare modules, trained LED technicians, and engineering accountability are standard on every job.
Built for purpose, not retro-fitted.
LED screens are reliable when they are correctly specified, properly installed, and maintained on schedule. They become unreliable when ventilation is neglected, brightness drifts un-recalibrated, modules age unevenly, or controller firmware is left out of date. Most "broken" SMD screens are not broken — they need maintenance that has been overdue for months or years.
A repair-and-maintenance service covers four categories of work: reactive repair (something has failed and needs fixing), preventive maintenance (planned visits to clean, recalibrate, and inspect), brightness and colour recalibration (annual or bi-annual), and emergency callouts (urgent on-site response within an SLA window).
We work on screens we installed and screens supplied by other vendors. We will assess any LED system, identify what needs fixing or replacing, and quote remediation honestly. We will not invent problems or push unnecessary work.
The right buyer profile.
Anyone running an LED screen — indoor or outdoor — benefits from a maintenance plan. Mission-critical installs (broadcast, control rooms, revenue-generating billboards) almost always justify on-site SLA contracts. General installs benefit from quarterly or bi-annual preventive visits. Even ad-hoc repair callouts are far cheaper than replacing a screen prematurely.
We do not service hardware that is structurally unsafe, illegally installed, or built from clearly counterfeit modules. We will recommend remediation — sometimes including full replacement — when an existing install cannot be safely or economically maintained.
Where smd screen repair & maintenance earn their place.
Dead pixel & module repair
Single-pixel, multi-pixel, and full-module replacement for indoor and outdoor screens.
Controller & processor faults
Diagnose and replace failed sender cards, receiver cards, and video processors.
Power supply & wiring
Failed power supplies, surge damage, ground faults, and re-cabling work.
Brightness & colour recalibration
Annual or bi-annual recalibration of brightness, white balance, and gamma uniformity.
Weather & monsoon damage
Storm damage, lightning surge, water ingress, and seal restoration on outdoor installs.
Structural inspection & remediation
Mounting hardware torque checks, corrosion remediation, and structural reinforcement.
Preventive-maintenance visits
Quarterly or bi-annual scheduled visits — clean, inspect, calibrate, document.
Emergency on-site SLA
4-hour or 24-hour on-site response for mission-critical billboards, broadcast, and control rooms.
Pitches that actually fit this use case.
Pixel pitch is the single biggest spec decision. We recommend the pitches below for typical smd screen repair & maintenance deployments. Talk to us before locking it in — closest viewing distance is the deciding factor.

Why this option earns its place.
Trained LED technicians — repair work done correctly, with proper diagnostic test gear.
Stocked spare modules — on-site for SLA clients, regional depot for ad-hoc clients. MTTR drops from days to hours.
Vendor-agnostic — we support screens supplied by us and by other vendors.
Engineering accountability — major repair work signed off by qualified engineers.
Written reports — every visit documented with photos, measurements, and recommended remediation.
Multi-year service plans — quarterly visits, recalibration, and emergency cover bundled at predictable monthly cost.
Plan ahead.
Indoor LED is forgiving — most repairs can be done in normal business hours with minimal disruption. Plan maintenance windows during low-use periods (early morning or weekend).
Outdoor LED needs weather-aware scheduling. Pre-monsoon inspections are mandatory. Storm-damage repairs cannot be safely done during active weather events.
Working at height. Many outdoor installs need scaffold, lift, or rope-access work. Schedule in advance — last-minute lift hire is expensive and slow.
Power-down windows. Indoor walls in 24/7 control rooms or broadcast studios cannot always be powered down for service. Plan failover or short-window service procedures up-front.
What changes the price — honestly.
We don't publish flat per-square-foot prices because they mislead. These are the variables that move the bill of materials.
Service category
Ad-hoc reactive repair vs preventive contracts vs SLA-backed emergency response — three different pricing models.
Site location
Sites in primary cities are cheaper to service. Remote sites incur travel and accommodation cost — usually amortised across larger SLA contracts.
SLA window
4-hour SLAs cost more than 24-hour SLAs which cost more than 72-hour. Match the SLA window to the cost of downtime.
Spare module stock
Dedicated on-site spare stock costs more up-front but eliminates repair lead time. Worth it for revenue-generating billboards.
Indoor vs outdoor
Outdoor work — particularly at height — costs more per hour than indoor service due to access, safety, and weather.
Hardware vintage & brand
Older or rare-brand modules sometimes cost more to replace because supply is limited. We flag this honestly during assessment.
How an SMDSOLUTIONS install actually runs.
Initial assessment
Site visit or remote diagnosis to identify the issue. Written assessment with recommended remediation and quote.
Quote & approval
Itemised quote covering parts, labour, and timeline. Approval before any work starts.
Spare procurement
Replacement modules, controllers, or power supplies sourced from stock or supplier.
Scheduled visit
Repair work scheduled around your operating hours. Lift / scaffold / power-down arranged where required.
Repair & test
Repair carried out by trained LED technicians. Affected areas tested before sign-off.
Recalibration
Brightness and white-balance calibrated across affected area to restore uniformity with the rest of the wall.
Documentation
Written service report including photos, parts replaced, calibration data, and any follow-up recommendations.
Follow-up
Post-repair check after 2–4 weeks to confirm no recurrence and identify any related issues.
Keep it running for ten years.
LED systems are reliable when designed for the duty cycle and supported with a real maintenance plan. Skipping maintenance is the fastest route to dead pixels and warranty disputes.
- Quarterly preventive visits — visual inspection, dust cleaning, brightness check, alignment audit.
- Bi-annual deep clean — vents, filters, and cabinet faces. Critical in dusty inland cities.
- Annual brightness and white-balance recalibration — restores uniformity and detects degraded modules early.
- Spare module stock — keep 1–4% of total module count as on-site or regional-depot spares.
- Pre-monsoon outdoor inspection — seal integrity, drainage, and grounding before each monsoon season.
- Annual structural torque check — outdoor and large-format installs need mounting hardware verified annually.
Direct answers from the SMDSOLUTIONS engineering team.
- Yes. We routinely service hardware supplied by other dealers, imported directly from manufacturers, and inherited from previous installations. We will assess what needs doing and quote honestly. We are not tied to any one supplier.
