LED Module Supply

SMD LED Modules — bin-matched, tested, and shipped across Pakistan.

Indoor and outdoor SMD LED modules — P2.5, P3, P4, P5 and beyond — plus replacement panels and bin-matched spare stock. SMDSOLUTIONS supplies tier-1 SMD LED modules for repair, retrofit, and OEM use across Pakistan.

Quick Answer

SMD LED modules are the building blocks of every LED screen. They are sold individually for new installs, replacement after failure, or to maintain spare-stock inventory. Common indoor SMD modules use P1.5, P1.8, P2, P2.5, and P3 pixel pitches; outdoor SMD modules range from P4 to P10 and beyond. SMDSOLUTIONS supplies bin-matched SMD modules from major tier-1 manufacturers for repair, retrofit, and OEM use — with quality testing before shipment.

What it is

Built for purpose, not retro-fitted.

An SMD LED module is the smallest assembled unit of an LED display — a small PCB carrying a fixed number of LEDs at a defined pixel pitch. Multiple modules combine to form a cabinet; multiple cabinets combine to form a video wall. Modules are the field-replaceable unit when something fails.

Two important variables define a module: pixel pitch and bin matching. Pitch determines the resolution and viewing-distance suitability. Bin matching determines whether the module's LEDs blend cleanly with the rest of a wall — visibly off-bin modules show as patches of mismatched colour or brightness.

Not all SMD modules are equal. Tier-1 modules use higher-grade LED chips, tighter bin tolerances, and better driver ICs than low-cost value modules — so they hold colour and brightness longer and stay sourceable years later. SMDSOLUTIONS supplies tier-1 SMD modules and advises on the right pitch, brand, and bin specification for repair, retrofit, and OEM projects.

Who needs it

The right buyer profile.

Module supply makes sense for clients running new LED installs (often supplied alongside cabinets and controllers), maintaining spare-module stock for repair contracts, replacing failed modules in existing screens, and importing modules for assembly by their own teams.

We do not supply counterfeit or grey-market modules. We work with established tier-1 manufacturers and verify each shipment before delivery. Cheap counterfeit modules fail early, fail unpredictably, and frequently void warranties on the broader screen they are installed into.

Recommended Pixel Pitch

Pitches that actually fit this use case.

Pixel pitch is the single biggest spec decision. We recommend the pitches below for typical smd led modules deployments. Talk to us before locking it in — closest viewing distance is the deciding factor.

Benefits

Why this option earns its place.

01

Bin-matched modules — colour and brightness consistency across new installs and replacements.

02

Quality-tested before shipment — every batch validated against manufacturer specification.

03

Tier-1 manufacturer relationships — Liangtronics, Unilumin, Absen, Leyard, and others.

04

Pakistan-wide delivery — modules shipped from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad regional depots.

05

Full indoor and outdoor SMD pitch range — P1.5 to P16 SMD modules supplied with honest advice on which pitch suits each project.

06

Compatible with existing screens — we identify and source compatible modules for older or rare installs.

Considerations

Plan ahead.

Bin matching matters. Modules from different production batches can show slightly different colour and brightness even when nominally identical. For repair work on an existing screen, request bin-matching to your existing modules.

Counterfeit modules. Cheap grey-market modules fail early and unpredictably. They also void warranty on the broader screen. Source modules through authorised channels — including ours — and verify provenance.

IP rating. Outdoor modules require correct IP rating for the deployment environment. Don't use indoor modules in semi-outdoor locations to save cost — they will fail.

Storage. Modules in storage need controlled temperature and humidity. Long-term storage in unconditioned rooms shortens module life before deployment.

Pricing Factors

What changes the price — honestly.

We don't publish flat per-square-foot prices because they mislead. These are the variables that move the bill of materials.

01

Pixel pitch

Finer pitches use more LEDs per square metre. P1.5 module costs significantly more than P3 module of the same physical size.

02

Indoor vs outdoor

Outdoor modules with IP65 sealing and high-brightness LEDs cost more than indoor equivalents at the same pitch.

03

Brand & tier

Tier-1 manufacturer modules cost meaningfully more than tier-3 alternatives — but bin-match better, last longer, and source replacements years later.

04

Bin matching

Bin-matched batches cost slightly more than mixed-bin supply but blend correctly into existing screens.

05

Volume

Bulk orders attract volume pricing. Single-module ad-hoc orders carry higher per-unit cost.

06

Module size & resolution

A 320×160 mm module packs more LEDs than a 250×250 mm module at the same pitch, so per-module price tracks the LED count and resolution of the panel, not just the physical size.

Maintenance

Keep it running for ten years.

LED systems are reliable when designed for the duty cycle and supported with a real maintenance plan. Skipping maintenance is the fastest route to dead pixels and warranty disputes.

  • Spare-stock target — keep 1–4% of total module count as on-site or depot spares.
  • Storage conditions — controlled temperature, low humidity, ESD-safe packaging.
  • Periodic stock rotation — older spare modules may drift slightly out of bin with newly installed modules; check before deployment.
  • Documentation — track module serial numbers and bin codes for future bin-matched replacements.
  • Provenance verification — confirm module authenticity on every batch. Counterfeits are the leading cause of unexplained failures.
  • Returns and warranty — track manufacturer warranty terms per batch; in-warranty modules can be replaced rather than repaired.
FAQs

Direct answers from the SMDSOLUTIONS engineering team.

  • Both use surface-mounted LEDs on a PCB, but tier-1 SMD modules use higher-grade LED chips, tighter bin tolerances, and better driver ICs than low-cost value modules. The result is more consistent colour and brightness, longer service life, and replacement modules you can still source years later. Value modules look similar on day one but drift in colour, fail unpredictably, and are often impossible to bin-match later. We supply tier-1 SMD modules for repair, retrofit, and OEM work.
