Floor-Standing LED Displays

Digital Standees — high-impact retail and lobby LED that you can roll into place.

Slim, floor-standing LED standee displays in 43" to 86" form factors with integrated media player and CMS — built for retail stores, malls, exhibitions, corporate lobbies, and hospitality. Supplied, installed, and content-commissioned by SMDSOLUTIONS across Pakistan.

Quick Answer

A digital standee is a free-standing LED screen mounted in a slim vertical kiosk, designed to display rotating brand, menu, or wayfinding content in retail, hospitality, and exhibition environments. Standard sizes range from 43" to 86" with P1.8 to P4 pixel pitch, integrated media player, and Wi-Fi or 4G connectivity. SMDSOLUTIONS supplies, installs, and configures digital standees across Pakistan — single units or multi-store networks.

What it is

Built for purpose, not retro-fitted.

A digital standee is a vertically-oriented LED display housed in a slim floor-standing kiosk, designed for placement in retail stores, malls, hotel lobbies, exhibitions, and corporate receptions. The standee form factor typically combines a 43" to 86" LED display, an integrated Android or BrightSign media player, a power supply, and a steel base — packaged so the unit can be rolled into position, plugged in, and start running content within minutes.

Standees differ from wall-mounted signage in two ways. First, they require zero structural mounting — useful for leased retail space, pop-up activations, and exhibition booths where wall fixings are not allowed. Second, they are mobile — a single standee can move between locations as campaigns rotate, lowering the cost of multi-location advertising.

Modern digital standees integrate with cloud-based CMS platforms (BrightSign, Yodeck, Samsung MagicINFO) for centralised content scheduling, multi-screen synchronisation, and proof-of-play reporting. SMDSOLUTIONS commissions the platform during install and trains your team on day-to-day operation.

Who needs it

The right buyer profile.

Retail chains running rotating in-store promotions, restaurants and quick-service food chains displaying menu boards and offers, shopping mall tenants wanting impact without permanent fit-out, hotels showing wayfinding and brand content in lobbies, event organisers needing portable signage for exhibitions and trade fairs, and corporate offices running internal communications.

Standees are not always the right answer. Permanent storefront displays larger than 86" are usually better served by wall-mounted SMD walls or transparent LED. Permanent menu boards in built-out QSR locations are typically wall-mounted. Standees earn their place when mobility, zero structural disruption, or multi-location campaign reuse matters.

Recommended Pixel Pitch

Pitches that actually fit this use case.

Pixel pitch is the single biggest spec decision. We recommend the pitches below for typical digital standees deployments. Talk to us before locking it in — closest viewing distance is the deciding factor.

Benefits

Why this option earns its place.

01

Zero structural disruption — no drilling, no wall fixings, no fit-out approval.

02

Mobile — wheel the standee between locations as campaigns rotate.

03

Integrated media player and CMS — no separate kit to buy or wire.

04

Sharp, bright, video-capable content — far higher impact than printed posters.

05

Multi-location synchronisation — one CMS controls 1 or 100 standees.

06

Lower long-term running cost than rotating printed standees at any meaningful scale.

Considerations

Plan ahead.

Indoor only by default. Outdoor / weather-sealed standees are available as a separate IP65-rated variant — specify upfront if needed.

Floor loading. A typical 65" standee weighs 60–90 kg; check raised-floor and showroom load ratings.

Sun-exposed shop-front positions need 1,500–2,000 nit standees, not standard 600–800 nit models. Specify by environment.

Connectivity. Standees need a reliable Wi-Fi or wired network for cloud CMS. We design fallback (cached content, 4G modem) for unreliable locations.

Pricing Factors

What changes the price — honestly.

We don't publish flat per-square-foot prices because they mislead. These are the variables that move the bill of materials.

01

Screen size

55" is the volume sweet spot. 75" and 86" cost meaningfully more per unit but command more attention.

02

Pixel pitch

P1.8 is fine-pitch retail premium. P2.5 / P3 are standard. P4 is for high-traffic distance-viewed standees.

03

Brightness specification

Sun-exposed shop-front standees need 1,500–2,000 nits — meaningfully more expensive than 600–800 nit indoor standees.

04

Media player & CMS

Integrated Android player vs BrightSign vs Samsung MagicINFO — each tier adds capability and cost.

05

Network size

Per-unit cost falls as deployment grows — single standees carry full setup overhead.

06

Branding & wrap

Custom-branded kiosk wraps, painted finishes, and base colour matching are additional production cost.

Installation Process

How an SMDSOLUTIONS install actually runs.

08

Ongoing support

Content updates and CMS changes supported through standard helpdesk or SLA contract.

Maintenance

Keep it running for ten years.

LED systems are reliable when designed for the duty cycle and supported with a real maintenance plan. Skipping maintenance is the fastest route to dead pixels and warranty disputes.

  • Monthly visual check — alignment, brightness uniformity, dust on screen face.
  • Quarterly cabinet ventilation cleaning — open service door, brush internal fans.
  • Annual brightness recalibration — particularly for shop-front standees in direct sunlight.
  • CMS account hygiene — quarterly user role and content folder audit.
  • Annual full service — internal inspection, fan replacement if noisy, firmware update.
  • On-site spare media-player held by SMDSOLUTIONS for SLA clients — same-day swap on failure.
FAQs

Direct answers from the SMDSOLUTIONS engineering team.

  • Digital standee prices in Pakistan depend on screen size, pixel pitch, brightness, and the integrated media player tier. A 55" P2.5 indoor standee is meaningfully cheaper than an 86" P1.8 sun-readable model. Network rollouts cost less per unit than single standees because setup amortises across the network.
